Himalaya BabyCare DVC Campaign

India's No. 1 physician-recommended infant care brand, Himalaya BabyCare, introduced an assertive new DVC campaign, #HarKadamHarMaakeSath, to commemorate World Breastfeeding Week. This campaign highlights a silent problem, the shame and anxiety many mothers experience in going out because of the lack of privacy and support.

In the DVC, we can see the mother sing a lullaby in a loving voice while breastfeeding her baby in her own home. The same mother would be ashamed, her voice trembling and body stiffening, when she ventures out to public places like the metro station, shopping center, and bus stops. The story is told anew as she enters a Himalaya Happy Feeding Room, where dignity and comfort are restored so that she can regain the serenity and confidence she had in her own home.

Based on statistics, 1 in every 3 mothers is apprehensive about breastfeeding their baby in new places, mostly resulting in interrupted nourishment habits. Himalaya BabyCare, through this campaign, wants to empower mothers to breastfeed with dignity and tranquility, anywhere they may be.

A 13 Year Commitment to Mothers

For more than a decade, Himalaya BabyCare has empowered mothers not only with reliable baby care products but also by having over 500 public breastfeeding rooms at airports, hospitals, railway stations, and malls. The Himalaya Happy Feeding Rooms have so far provided benefits to over 5.5 million mothers every year in a safe, hygienic, and private feeding environment.

"Not just product care, but also emotionally, physically, and socially supporting mothers," said Chakravarthi N V, Director, BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company. "All lullabies must be sung in comfort. In our 500+ Happy Feeding Rooms, we try to bring mothers closer to that tranquility, wherever they are."

As a part of the initiative, ₹5 per pack of Himalaya Baby Soap, Lotion, and Cream sold will be directed towards creating more breastfeeding rooms in the country.

The campaign is live on Himalaya BabyCare's social and digital channels, encouraging the public to participate in the conversation and the cause under the campaign #HarKadamHarMaakeSath, with each step, by every mother's side.
