Job Summary

The candidate will have to strategically identify, engage, and secure sponsors for major sporting leagues in India, creating tailored proposals and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers. Lead negotiations, collaborate with internal teams, and monitor sponsorship performance to maximize value for both leagues and sponsors.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify Potential Sponsors
  • Conduct extensive research to identify potential brands and companies that align with the target audience and objectives of the major sporting leagues in India.
  • Develop Sponsorship Proposals: Create compelling and tailored sponsorship proposals that highlight the unique value and benefits of associating with specific sporting leagues. Present proposals to potential sponsors in a persuasive manner.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in potential sponsor companies, including brand managers, marketing directors, and C-level executives.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships by consistently providing value and demonstrating the mutual benefits of collaboration.
  • Negotiate Sponsorship Agreements: Lead negotiations with potential sponsors to secure sponsorship agreements, including terms, financial commitments, marketing activations, and deliverables.
  • Ensure agreements are aligned with the objectives and guidelines of the sporting leagues.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and legal departments, to ensure effective execution and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
  • Provide guidance and support to maximize the value and exposure for both the sporting leagues and sponsors.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Sponsorship Performance: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of sponsorships through various metrics, including brand exposure, audience engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Key Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in sponsorship sales, brand partnerships, or business development, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment sectors.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value sponsorships or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian sports ecosystem and brand marketing landscape.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven, and client-facing environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, or activations as needed.
