New Delhi, May 23, Skincare company Deconstruct made a bold move towards shifting beauty paradigms with the roll-out of a country wide out of home (OOH) campaign highlighting participants from its latest 60 day Skincare Internship. The campaign encourages skincare as an indispensable part of a daily routine, transcending gender, age, and background.
With more than 1.8 lakh sign-ups and a whopping 16.7 crore digital impressions, the internship reflected Deconstruct's passion for diversity. Substantively, 50% of the internship opportunities were earmarked for men, a significant statement in a historically female-dominated industry. The actual participation numbers mirrored almost even gender balance, at 45.12% men and 54.5% women participating in the program.
All six chosen interns, Abhinandan Pande, Anisha, Ashima Bhat, Ayush Thakur, Lima Jamir, and Vijay Laxmi, were given a ₹1 lakh stipend. Led remotely by dermatologist Dr. Jinal Modi and Deconstruct's product development team, interns were given customized skincare regimes based on their specific skin issues. Their experience was captured in interesting Instagram content like morning routines, vlogs, and in-transit product demos.
To cap off the campaign, Deconstruct unveiled large-format billboards featuring the interns in their hometowns, Kolkata, Vizag, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Delhi, and Mumbai, holding their winning checks and championing everyday skincare.
