Branded vans parked at the showroom door for Akshaya Tritiya

Akshaya Tritiya is a single buying day, so the media had to be where the customer already is and then stay outside the store that will serve them. Branded vans carried the Madhumalti collection and the free gold coin offer through the market streets around each showroom in Surat and Navi Mumbai, then parked at the store entrance itself, so the last thing a customer saw before walking in matched the offer inside. The vans worked into the evening, when jewellery footfall peaks.

What it delivered

A van does the work of a hoarding and a store promoter in one, because it can be driven through the catchment and then parked as a static site at the door. Matching the panel to the in-store offer removed the gap that usually opens between outdoor and what a customer is told at the counter.

91.1% is print

Print captured the highest share of the sector’s ad spend over the 12 months to September 2025, at 91.1% of estimated television, print and radio spend. Digital sits outside this split because TAM prices it on a different scale; it is reported by ad count instead.

A plan that skips print buys a smaller share of this category’s voice than the headline spend suggests.

Methodology & notes

Built from 18 industry-standard ad-monitoring and research sources. Every number here is a count of ads recorded: how many ads the brand ran and where they ran. We do not publish rupees, because the cost figures in the data are not comparable between TV, radio, print and online. City figures cover print, radio and outdoor, the media bought market by market. Reference lines show the category average. Updated monthly. Full methodology →
