Reginald Men · FMCG & Personal Care

A celebrity-led film for a men’s sunscreen launch

Men’s skincare has to overcome the assumption that the category is not for them, and a familiar face does that faster than an argument. The launch film was shot with Riteish Deshmukh handling the product directly, in a natural setting rather than a studio, and cut for the vertical and short formats where the brand sells. The product stays in frame throughout, so the pack is recognisable at shelf and in a feed.

What it delivered

Keeping the pack in hand for the length of the film means every cutdown, however short, still carries the product identity. Casting a face that reads as ordinary rather than aspirational suited a category asking men to try something for the first time.

Television captured the highest share of the sector’s ad spend over the 12 months to September 2025, at 79.9% of estimated television, print and radio spend. Digital sits outside this split because TAM prices it on a different scale; it is reported by ad count instead.

Methodology & notes

Built from 18 industry-standard ad-monitoring and research sources. Every number here is a count of ads recorded: how many ads the brand ran and where they ran. We do not publish rupees, because the cost figures in the data are not comparable between TV, radio, print and online. City figures cover print, radio and outdoor, the media bought market by market.
